Leadership.
A concept that we all should be thinking more about, given the choice we must soon make, as the presidential day of reckoning looms closer. As an entrepreneur who over the past 20 years has built a successful organization literally by the bootstraps, I never gave leadership much thought and took for granted what I considered to be my own innate abilities. Well, a wake-up call came two years ago when a former client and friend suggested that I enroll in "Leadership in the 21st Century" at the Gestalt International Study Center (GISC) in Wellfleet. She said it would be life-changing, and it was. I can’t properly explain Gestalt theory within the context of this newsletter. However, I can say from first-hand experience and witnessing its impact on others that, unlike your typical executive education programs, the Gestalt method is a catalyst for intensely personal revelations that will give you the awareness, increased confidence and new skills necessary to lead others more effectively. Plus, I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you about the lasting new friendships that I’ve made and how much fun we’ve had exploring the Cape Cod shore and cavorting around Provincetown after hours. I look forward to returning to GISC at the end of this month for a graduate program and invite you to give me a call or check out their catalog, if I’ve piqued your curiosity.
