Hilliards Chocolates Celebrates 100 Years of Sweet Memories

Family-operated Artisan Chocolate Company Commemorates Milestone By Raising Funds for Alzheimer’s Association

March 25, 2024

Hilliards Chocolates, a family-operated artisan chocolate company in its fourth generation, proudly announces its 100th anniversary. Since 1924, Hilliards has been handcrafting delectable chocolates and candies, delighting generations of customers with their commitment to quality, creativity, and a passion for the art of confectionery.

To commemorate their centennial milestone, Hilliards Chocolates is raising funds throughout the year for the Alzheimer’s Association, the leading voluntary health organization dedicated to Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Hilliards has pledged to donate proceeds of two new products to be released in coming weeks and available now for preorder: Sweet Memories Tin (7 oz. chocolate assortment - $29.95 - April 2024) and Charlie Bar ($3 - June 2024).

“Alzhheimer’s has touched our family profoundly, as my father Charlie McCarthy, a driving force behind the success of our company, suffered from early onset Alzheimer’s,” explained Maegan Dec, President of Hilliards Chocolates and a great grand-daughter of the company’s founders. “We are heartfelt in our desire to make our year-long fundraising campaign a success and look forward to contributing to the fight against this disease.”

“We are so grateful to Hilliards Chocolates for their support of people living with Alzheimer's and dementia," said Jim Wessler, CEO of the Alzheimer's Association's MA/NH Chapter. "Their contributions will help fund research, advocacy efforts and care and support programs right here in Massachusetts and throughout the country."
