Proprietors of The Groton Inn open destination restaurant featuring wood-fired modern New England fare

(Groton, MA) November 2018 – Migis Hotel Group announces the highly anticipated opening of Forge & Vine, a destination restaurant set on 8.5 acres shared with The Groton Inn, a new 60-room luxury hotel that opened in May on Main Street in Groton, MA, just 35 miles from Boston.
Destined to become a popular gathering spot and welcome addition to the regional dining scene, the 156-seat Forge & Vine features an eight-foot wood-fired grill as its centerpiece, an open kitchen with counter seating where guests can enjoy dinner while interacting with the chefs, a 26-seat bar, wrap-around viewing deck, four-season outdoor patio with soft seating and fieldstone fireplace, and a private dining room seating up to 20. Taking inspiration from the area’s history and natural surroundings, the restaurant features soaring spaces, rustic wood architectural detail, and floor to ceiling windows that greet guests with breathtaking pastoral views.

Chef Patrick Bassett presides over the Forge & Vine menu and creates modern New England fare that is an expression of the region from which it comes. Made with the best ingredients from nearby purveyors, dishes are reflective of the seasonality of the land. Basset uses wood-fired cooking and time-honored techniques to create simple preparations that highlight fresh, authentic flavors. Signature dishes include Rotisserie Amish Chicken, Wood Fired Eggplant, Olive Poached Cod, and Wood Grilled Flatbreads. In keeping with the restaurant’s elemental theme, select items will be graciously served in cast iron skillets and on reclaimed wood platters. A thoughtfully curated wine list, including many biodynamic labels, complements the menu, in addition to a selection of craft beers and signature cocktails.
Dinner is served seven nights a week, year-round. Within Forge & Vine, guests will find The Market, open daily and offering a special take-away menu of signature dishes and entrees that can be ordered on site or in advance via a branded app.
