Choose from Day, Sunset, City Lights and Special Event Sails Around Boston Harbor

May 2, 2016

Beginning Wednesday, May 11th, Classic Harbor Line sets sail opening the 2016 cruising season. Dedicated to providing an authentic sailing experience coupled with impeccable service, guests aboard the schooner Adirondack III are treated to breathtaking views of the Boston skyline, Boston Harbor Island and historical sites like the mysterious sunken island - Nixes Mate, Long Island Head Light, America’s oldest lighthouse - Boston Light, Fort Warren and Fort Independence.

Marking her fourth season as the fastest sailing vessel in Boston Harbor, Adirondack III is an elegant, 80-foot, 1890’s style pilot schooner. Standing out from the crowd with a modern and innovative design, this all-wooden vessel features teak decks, brilliantly varnished mahogany rails, two towering Douglas fir masts and nearly 2,000 square feet of sail stretching to the sky.

Setting sail from Rowes Wharf just behind the Boston Harbor Hotel, Classic Harbor Line vessels offer one of the best sightseeing adventures in Boston. Excursions aboard Adirondack III include:

  • Boston Day Sail, 1:00 and 3:30pm ($45) – This two-hour afternoon sail is the perfect way to see the sights of Boston Harbor.
  • Boston Sunset Sail, 6:30pm ($55) – Ideal for a romantic evening with that special someone, experience a beautiful Boston Harbor sunset on the water and see some of the city's waterfront landmarks as the sun dips below the horizon.
