Dear Friends,

You may have noticed that specific themes inspire my monthly correspondence with transition, leadership and gratitude covered thus far. Today, I tip my hat to perseverance – especially to those who persevere and respond creatively during challenging times. 

Here in New England, as multiple, consecutive weekend snowstorms have exacerbated the negative impact of a struggling economy, restaurants and retailers just can’t seem to catch a break. However, there are those who do well despite the odds because they continue to nurture relationships with existing customers and reach out to new markets.

While marketing budgets are tight, we’ve demonstrated that cost-effective strategies incorporating public relations, social media and online tactics can bring measurable results and drive sales. Our clients are reaping the benefits of sustaining their marketing programs to build brand loyalty and market share today, while laying a foundation for future growth.

Kudos to Phillips Chocolates for enjoying a 29% growth in online sales, a sales figure well above the national average. Congratulations to Finale in Park Plaza, where thanks to a proactive marketing plan and positive word of mouth, lunch is generating considerable buzz, even on the coldest winter’s day. And, finally, a round of applause for the Annual Christmas Festival at Boston’s World Trade Center, where attendance was up 7% over last year!
