Lori Moretti
President
Lori Moretti, president and co-founder of CM Communications, is a consummate publicist and marketing professional with over 20 years of experience to her credit. Talented at pinpointing those qualities that make each client unique, she is expert at conveying key messages through media outreach, collateral materials and advertising to evoke a positive and measurable response among target markets. Long before integrated marketing became an accepted practice, she helped pioneer the concept, drawing on her deep understanding of all marketing disciplines to create a customized mix of services designed to generate maximum results for each client.
Moretti honed her skills at some of Bostons leading advertising, PR and publishing companies prior to co-founding CM Productions with business partner Michael Caglianone in the early 80s. Operating out of a home office, the two-person team quickly became a passionate advocate for the regions growing, avant garde visual and performing arts community. Capitalizing on their early success, the partners applied their core strengths in public relations and marketing to benefit a wide range of clients and renamed their company CM Communications. Today, this vision has led to a growing roster of satisfied clients, annual billings of over $1 million and offices in Boston's historic Park Plaza building.
In addition to leading her 11 person team, Morettis role at the agency comprises senior-level client counsel, media relations, strategic marketing, corporate branding and message development, and creative direction.
As agency president, Morettis recent professional milestones include:
Coordinating a January 2005 appearance by Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton at a fundraiser for the Ella J. Baker House, a non-profit, community-based organization that provides direct service to thousands of high-risk Boston youth and their families. CM Communications will use keynote speaker Clintons address as a springboard to educate the public regarding the organizations mission while raising funds.
Providing public relations counsel to Marriott Corporation for the grand opening of Marriotts Custom House, a 19-month $30 million revitalization of Bostons most treasured landmark. CM Communications designed and implemented a public relations campaign that resulted in over $1 million dollars worth of media exposure nationwide.
Forging a strategic partnership between the Metropolitan District Commission and producers of the first annual Spring Festival at Bostons World Trade Center, resulting in over $150,000 of media coverage for Bringing Back The Birds, a state public awareness program dedicated to protecting bird nesting areas.
Leading CM Communications to victory in a national agency competition for the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce accountManaging a three-year long national media campaign for Nantucket, resulting in a dramatic increase in tourism revenues during the off-season.
Moretti is an active and long-standing member of The Boston Club, New England Women Business Owners, The Publicity Club, The Massachusetts Lodging Association, The Massachusetts Restaurant Association, and The Newbury Street League. A popular speaker at the annual Massachusetts Lodging and Hospitality Expo, she is a graduate of Tufts University.
