Artisan Promotions, the largest producer of crafts festivals in New England, has relied on CM Communications since 1991 to handle the public relations for The Christmas Festival, an annual, three-day-long consumer exposition that draws over 40,000 to Boston's World Trade Center. CM Communications was instrumental in creating a Gingerbread House Competition to benefit local charities. Now in its 9th year, the contest features chefs from the region's top restaurants, hotels, bakeries and culinary schools and has become a magnet for attracting pre-event print, radio and television coverage. The event is covered extensively by the food media, many of whom participate along with their children as judges. In addition, CM manages the region-wide publicity campaign to support the festival, including placements in calendar sections, radio interviews and on-air ticket giveaways.
